Quality that's Value for Money

Flyer Profile

Rahul Dasari is the Area Sales Manager of a multinational. He's a 26-year-old male who travels frequently on leisure and business. Rahul is known amongst his working circle for his ability to take initiatives and on settling for nothing but the best. It is this undying passion which makes him a leader in his field of work. And this passion extends into other aspects of his life as well. He is like a powerhouse of energy, capable of transforming a dull gathering into a josh fest almost effortlessly. He can strike an instant bond with anybody - be they 6 years old or 60 years old, it just doesn't make a difference! Rahul is also a true friend's friend, always taking care of his loved ones.

Living a 20 hour day, Rahul has been a high achiever all his life and this continues in his current role as Sales Head of Tamil Nadu for Nokia. But this doesn’t stop him from separating work from play. He is the epitome of the slogan – work hard, party harder. Rahul craves for mid-long vacations where he can just switch off from the rest of world and explore various cultures. He has traveled extensively in South Africa, Scandinavia, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Greece, Middle East, South East Asia and the Indian subcontinent over the last couple of years.

What excites you about the future of travel? "The idea that it’s a perfect breakaway from my stressful routine is exciting. I want a single stop shop to suggest holiday destinations and means of travel for me depending upon my mood – like have relationship managers." He complains that the real service of an airline comes only when you are onboard. There needs to be sprucing up of the airport lounges as well. "Perhaps the airline could also arrange for my pick-up and drop to-and-fro the airport." He also spoke about airline blogs where consumers could give feedback on the airline. Right now, only a few airline portals such as MakemyTrip and Cleartrip give comparisons on prices only. He suggests ratings of flights on various parameters. In the future, he hopes that he can make a choice of the passenger sitting next to him based on an online profile, especially where frequent fliers are concerned. Almost like a social networking connection for frequent fliers.

Rahul’s opinion of Emirates is that it is a world class airline, with the best-in-class food and in-flight entertainment. In his mind, it is a symbol of Dubai which is emerging as a new world hub for business and infrastructure. However, he tends to think of it more for business travel and less for leisure. Perhaps, he suggests, they could add a lounge ‘experience’ at the airport for economy class transit passengers as well

Rahul also quotes the Taj hospitality group of hotels for their welcoming services and the assurance that someone is always there to take care of you. In terms of responsiveness and customer service, he quotes the telecommunications brand Airtel has been having on the best turnaround times.

And his mantra for loyalty is value for money and quality at value prices!
